This film is a small reminder about the Yourmood Nazaré Kite Cup 2011, and also, a tribute to the Portuguese team riders that represented our country with great professionalism and responsability, showing the great potential of our riders and our spots.
They are all to be congratulated and amazing organization that was very professional too.

Danilo Nacarato was the great winner of Yourmood Kite Cup_11 Nazaré Portugal, dominating the freestyle category and adding the best tricks with a Indy KGB and a One Hand S-bend pass.
With a low wind in the singles elimination and a strong wind in the doubles, Danilo won without giving chances to their opponents, showing that he is back to full fitness and wants to go much further.
With the win the Best Tricks, Danilo won as a prize a trip to the mountain stage in the Swiss winter.

It was made ​​the 1st stage of the CNK (national championship of kitesurf), the freestyle aspect, in Murtosa - Aveiro - Portugal, during the days 13 14 and 15 August.
On the first day, the wind was very weak, but the director decided to start the competition.
Got my 14m RPM and tried to do my tricks.
Luckily, I run them and that was enough to beat the heat.
After this phase, the director decided to suspend the competition for lack of wind.
The next two days, the wind did not appear to finish the freestyle, thus, were tied for first place, Danilo Nacarato, Paulino Pereira and Gonçalo Gomes.
The next step in Costa da Caparica, near Lisbon, next weekend will decide the next Portuguese champion of freestyle.
The event was under the Murtosa organization Nortada Adventure Club (Clube Nortada Aventura), which provided us with excellent conditions for logistics.
The spot is incredible, flat river water, hot water, lots of fun and good food.

After eight months recovering from an accident where I broke four vertebrae of the spine in August 2010, this was my first workout in my home spot Esposende, Northern Portugal.

Há muito que eu queria postar umas fotos do quintal da minha casa!

A praia da Sereia (Salgueiros), em Canidelo, Vila Nova de Gaia, durante o mês de Junho foi de luxo.

Este Spot que fica mesmo em frente a minha casa, tem vindo a receber cada vez mais kitesurfistas.

Durante o mês de Junho, foram vários os dias de vento, com condições diversas, vento forte, mar grande, ondas pequenas, vento médio, mar flat, enfim, pude treinar freestyle com todos os tamanhos de kite.

Foi muito bom, depois de ter ficado mais de 8 meses parado em função da minha recuperação.

O Paulino veio ter comigo num dia desses e fizemos um treininho juntos.

Meu pai tirou algumas fotos para registar estes momentos.

Depois de 8 meses de recuperação já estou de volta! Mais Power que nunca! heheheTenho ido treinar tanto a Viana do Castelo como Esposende, já que o vento tem ajudado bastante.Ainda não estou em plena forma pois ainda me faltam alguns calos nas mãos e assim fica mais dificil de agarrar a barra nas manobras mais agressivas, mas isto com o tempo e treininho vai lá!Para já tenho aqui algumas fotografias da penúltima session no laguinho com o RDS.

I’m sorry I haven’t been updating the website often, but unfortunately that was caused by a major problem.

One month ago, while I was trainning and making some photoshoot in Viana do Castelo, I was ridding next to the rocks, where we were taking photos. The wind was very gusty and around 40 knots. I was ridding my 7m Fuel making some crazy megaloops and some huge jumps.

There was a time I was approaching the rocks, but wasn’t going to do nothing because I was already pretty close to them and I didn’t feel like it was safe to perform any trick, so, I decided to make a backloop transition.

When I made the pop to get out of the water and pulled the kite to the left to make the transition, the wind was not strong enough, so, the kite didn’t pull me back to the water and I crashed over the rocks pretty bad.

It looks like these little mistakes will never happen to you, but you’re never able to control forces of nature.

After the accident I was taken to the hospital. Broke 3 vertebras and got around 25 stiches in the head.

Hopefully I think I’ll be able to get back in the water and I hope I can do it soon.

I’m staying here in the Kite House in Viana do Castelo for almost two weeks just training hard so I can take the title of national champion this year. I’m training a lot for it since I alredy made Vice champion in 2008 and competing in the nationals for 5 years now, I really want it!I have been pushin it with Joao Fontainhas, my sponsor and National Champion in 2007, but we also met some new friends while training in esposende last week. Two Danish boys that made a trip to Brazil for a long time with my big friend and great video producer Rui Duarte Silva and made a crazy video from it.Anders Kruger and Pjark came visit the Kite House last night and really enjoyed to be here chillin for a bit and talkin about the sessions we’ve made together. Is really nice to see how people from a country so far come to a not internationally very known spot to appreciate the awesome conditions we have here.I also think that my friend and 2009 National Champion, Paulino Pereira, and Inês Correia are coming to join us at Da House and train together with us too.Hopefully we keep having wind everyday so we can continue to have fun in the water.
